In the story, the young Indigenous woman Naiá dreams of joining Jaci, the Moon, among the stars. One night, seeing the Moon reflected on the water, she tries to reach her and disappears beneath the surface.

Moved by Naiá’s devotion, Jaci transforms her into a different kind of star: the Vitória-Régia, a magnificent flower floating on the Amazonian waters. The legend connects the night sky, water, nature, transformation, and longing—turning one of the Amazon’s most extraordinary plants into a living story.
