Meet Mari

Meet Mari

Mari Salmonson is a Brazilian artist, designer, and storyteller whose work pulses with the vibrant rhythm of identity, memory, and transformation. Rooted in her Brazilian heritage and shaped by lived experiences across continents, Mari blends painting, illustration, and digital media to craft immersive narratives that celebrate culture — especially the richness of Brazilian folklore, fauna, and femininity.

Her creative path began in fashion design and evolved into a multidisciplinary studio practice bridging visual arts, cultural commentary, and intentional design. Whether through a large-scale mural in São Paulo, a digital artwork exhibited internationally, or a storybook character like Dr. Sapo from her original universe Solarium, Mari’s work is always about connection — between land and people, past and future, who we are and who we are becoming.

Through initiatives like Art in Life Now, Mari supports artists around the world, curates spaces that honor creative expression, and builds bridges between collectors, galleries, and diverse voices in contemporary art. Her studio, Mari Salmonson Creative Design, is both a home for her visual language and a platform for cultural innovation.

In 2025, she launched Identity Echoes — a global, multimedia project exploring how personal and cultural identity take shape across time, borders, and life transformations. Through interviews, visual art, poetry, and immersive storytelling, the project listens to the voices we inherit and those we reclaim. With exhibitions, digital experiences, and collective reflection, Identity Echoes invites audiences to witness — and participate in — the ongoing act of becoming.

Based in Seattle, Mari carries with her the colors, stories, and constellations of Brazil. Her art invites you to slow down, remember what pulses beneath the surface, reimagine what’s possible — and above all, to feel.
