The toucan in this print moves through a landscape made of paths. Among leaves and branches, the art imagines its routes in search of fruit, shelter and new trees to land in.
Inspired by the toco toucan, the drawing evokes the places where this bird lives in Brazil: the Cerrado, the Pantanal, the inland forests and parts of the Amazon. Its movements follow the availability of food, connecting trees and small stretches of forest along the way.
