The story
Tucano is a framed art print of a Brazilian toucan standing in color against a black and white world, an original illustration by Mari Salmonson from her Tropical Echoes series.
The Story Behind Tucano
The toucan stands alone in color against a black and white world. The background of circles can be read two ways. Stars in a night sky. Or ash from the burning Amazon. The animal carries color because it carries life. This work is about resistance. The forest disappears. The bird remains.
The Artwork
Original illustration by Mari Salmonson from the Tropical Echoes series, printed and framed as a fine art print.
