The story
Jaguar is a framed art print of the onça pintada at rest among rainforest plants, an original illustration by Mari Salmonson from her Tropical Echoes series.
The Story Behind Jaguar
The jaguar rests. Surrounded by plants, unhurried, entirely present. The onça pintada is the apex predator of the Brazilian rainforest and one of the most powerful symbols of territorial sovereignty in indigenous culture. This work captures the stillness before the force.
