The story

Two macaws watch over a black and white world. The circles behind them can be read two ways. Stars in a night sky. Or ash from the burning Amazon. The birds carry color because they carry life. This work is about resistance. The forest disappears. The vigias remain.

Original illustration by Mari Salmonson. Tropical Echoes series.
